URGENT!
Your comments are needed to preserve this canyon.
It is NOT too late to convince ADOT to make a better
decision!  But it soon will be.  ADOT plans to finalize
documents in Spring 2009.

Sending comments is NOT a waste of time!  ADOT
collects all public comments and incorporates them
into its planning reports.  In the past ADOT has
made changes that reflect public concerns, so
there is every reason to believe it will do so again.

There has NOT been a final decision yet!  But ADOT
is actively planning this project, so the time to act is
now.

Right now, the Arizona Department of Transportation is moving forward
with studies of a plan that would re-route I-17 through the Bumble Bee
valley, following Maggie Mine Road (at the north end of Black Canyon
City), Bumble Bee Road, and stretching north all the way through the
valley to Bloody Basin.
ONLY PUBLIC OUTCRY WILL STOP ADOT FROM CONSIDERING THIS ROUTE.
PLEASE MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE,
AND DON'T FORGET TO SPREAD THE WORD!
